Beijing’s E-Town gets an innovation center
Beijing's Economic-technological Development Area (E-Town) announced the opening of its Beijing Mobile E-Town Innovation Center, the result of a joint effort by the E-Town International Investment & Development Co and the E-Town administration, on May 10, which it will use to combine all of its industrial innovation resources.
Work on the 126,800-square-meter center began back in 2010, to provide a site for new top-level R&D and S&T innovations with a set of office buildings and facilities, residences, a convention center, hotels and a service center, with advanced planning and design work and a total building space of 530,000 square meters.
E-town was founded in accord with electronic information industry needs to create a site for work on electronic information, integrated circuitry, the mobile Internet and cloud computing.
