E-Town Capital wins Golden Bull award
Beijing E-Town International Investment and Development Co (E-Town Capital) won the Golden Bull Industrial Guidance Fund Award at the 2018 China Equity Investment Summit Forum on Nov 17.
The summit forum, co-hosted by China Securities Journal and China Fortune Academy, took place in Foshan, South China’s Guangdong province.
The event attracted some 400 attendees from the domestic political and business circles, top equity investment institutions, industry association representatives, and wealth management institutions.
E-Town Capital is currently engaged in the management of four government guiding funds which are Beijing IP Fund, Zhongguancun Modern Service Industry Venture Capital Guidance Fund, Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Science and Technology Innovation Investment Guidance Fund, and Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Leading Talent Entrepreneurship Development Fund.
E-Town Capital established an emerging industry fund in 2013, which has since become a "fund of funds" (FOFs) to support strategic emerging industries in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone (BDA).
The company also focuses on next-generation information technology, biomedicine and big health, new energy smart cars, robots and intelligent manufacturing industries. Through the FOFs and the guiding fund, the company gathers resources, attracts social capital to promote promising projects in the BDA, and helps related enterprises to grow in size and value.
In order to serve the needs of various enterprises throughout the entire industrial chain, E-Town Capital’s FOFs took part in the establishment of Angel Fund, VC Fund, PE Fund and M&A Fund according to different development stages of enterprises, and actively connects industries and promotes industry and finance through flexible and diversified investment methods. The combination provides a powerful guarantee for industries in the BDA to quickly connect with various resources.
As of October 2018, FOFs has co-sponsored some 60 funds totaling 250 billion yuan ($36.09 billion).
