Beijing E-Town International Investment and Development Co, along with BAIC Group, BAIC BJEV and CATL, founded the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center in November 2017.

The National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center is the second national technology innovation center promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology. It is also the first national-level new energy vehicle technology innovation center. It is a major measure of Beijing to focus on the new energy vehicle industry and to be a global leader in technological innovation in that field.

The establishment of the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center will help Beijing build a “high-precision” economic structure, build synergy and to encourage the growth of the innovation community of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, and to help enhance the core competitiveness of China's new energy vehicle industry.
