In October 2016, ten shareholders including Beijing E-Town International Investment and Development Co, Beijing Transinfo Technology Co, BAIC BJEV, Baidu, Beiqi Foton Motor Co and Great Wall Motor Co jointly invested in the establishment of Beijing Intelligent Car Alliance Industry Innovation Center Co in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.

The company plans to build a world-class testing platform that supports key technologies such as intelligent driving and vehicle networking breakthroughs and industrialization. It hopes that the platform will become a key technology breakthrough and industrial innovation public service platform for smart cars and smart transportation.

The specific construction plan of the company is the construction of integrated test beds for smart cars and smart transportation systems. Currently, the company operates two closed test sites.
