Beijing Yandong Microelectronics Co
Beijing Yandong Microelectronics Co -- or YDME for short -- is a subsidiary of Beijing Electronics Holdings Co and was previously called Beijing Yandong Microelectronics Joint Co.
YDME is a high-tech enterprise specializing in semiconductor device chip designs, manufacturing, packaging and testing, as well as sales.
Beijing E-Town International Investment and Development Co -- along with Beijing Electronics Holdings Co, National Integrated Circuit Fund, Beijing Electronics Zone Investment and Development Co and China Great Wall Asset Management Co -- increased the amount of capital invested in Beijing Yandong Microelectronics Co in April 2018.
From 2018 to the end of 2019, YDME reported output worth 170.3 million yuan ($24.51 million) from its operations in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, or BDA, as well as paid a total of 21.07 million yuan in taxes.
During the period, an 8-inch wafer production line with a capacity to manufacture 50,000 units per month -- including packaging and testing equipment developed by YDME -- started operating.
The production line has improved the overall layout of Beijing’s integrated circuit manufacturing, according to BDA officials.
They said it will have synergies with BDA-based companies, including SMIC and Chipone.
