Beijing E-Town International Investment and Development Co (E-Town Capital for short) has been supporting the development of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC for short) since 2012, through investment from its funds, entrusted loans, and equity investment.

SMIC’s NYSE stock code is SMI.N and the HKEX stock code is 0981.HK.

SMIC is a chip foundry company ranking fourth in the world for its leading scale and advanced technical abilities.

With E-Town Capital’s support, SMIC’s Beijing project has built China's top-level integrated circuit plant and built two production lines for 12-inch wafer chip production. After the project is put into production, SMIC Beijing plant will achieve a monthly output of 110,000 units, marking a significant breakthrough in the domestic production of 32-28 nanometer chips.

The project also led to the employment of 1,500 senior technical and management personnel, and led to the formation of industrial clusters with IC advanced manufacturing as their core in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.
