IC Market China 2016 was held in the Beijing Economic Technological Development Area (E-Town) on March 24.

Several awards were given at the conference, including the Top Enterprises in China’s IC market in 2015, Top Ten Enterprises in IC design, manufacturing and testing in 2015, and others. 

Huai Jinping, vice-minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, raised three issues in his speech. First, there is an obvious gap between China's IC industry and those of other countries. Second, China’s IC industry should take advantage of the imbalance between supply and demand and seek integration of the industry and capital against the background of the profound adjustment of the global IC market. Finally, the industry should consider how to develop within the Internet Plus and Made in China 2015 strategies. 

As an E-Town owned platform of investment and financing, E-Town Capital has cooperated with Summitview Capital, Shenzhen Capital Group Co.,Ltd. and BOE to establish a dozen funds related to the IC industry, with a total capital of 200 billion yuan ($ 30.66 billion). These funds have brought social capital into IC development and played an important role in integrating the local and national IC industrial chains, which has accelerated the transformation and core achievement of China’s IC industry.

The conference was co-hosted by the China Semiconductor Industry Association and CCID Group, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Beijing Economic and Informatization Committee and the administrative committee of Beijing E-Town.
