Limited partnership specialized committee about to launch

A meeting of the preparatory committee of the limited partnership (LP) specialized committee hosted by the Beijing Private Equity Association was successfully held in Beijing. Over 30 LP organizations were in attendance.

Song Bin,the executive vice president of the LP specialized committee, was the host in the committee. 

Song Bin, the executive vice president of the LP specialized committee, introduced the committee's background, its role in selecting LPs, recommending excellent general partnerships (GPs), sharing good investment projects and expanding financing channels. The combination of industry and finance is a developing trend in the equity investment industry.

Wang Xiaobo,was selected to be the committee's first president specks at the committee.

The committee passed the regulations and policies of the LP specialized committee. Wang Xiaobo, the general manager of E-Town Capital, was selected to be the committee's first president and Zhang Xuejun, the executive secretary of the Beijing Private Equity Association, was selected to be its first secretary general. E-Town Capital will be the president of the unit. 

Chinese equity investment in the form of funds of funds has been fully developed in recent years. According to data from Zero2IPO Group, to date more than one thousand funds of funds managing 2500 billion RMB had positive performances in the Chinese private equity market; government-guided funds account for two thirds of the total. In the future, the LP specialized committee will undertake three major tasks: to conclude the experience in the LP area and methodologies of investing funds of funds; to create a sharing environment in the LP area and promote communication and cooperation; and to promote communication between LPs and GPs. To build a multi-channel, multi-carrier and developed funds of funds system is the goal of the LP specialized committee.

The official opening ceremony of the LP specialized committee will be held at the 8th Global PE Forum (Beijing) on Dec 10. A forum on fund of funds will be held that afternoon.
